Cancer Education
Public Education programs have been conducted in the last decade at Mahila Mandals, Industries, Urban Slums, Rural Areas, Tribal Areas etc. People have been educated to “prevent the preventable forms of cancer” and the “Significance of Delay” is explained to all the high risk groups to encourage them to undergo periodic screening.

School children are exposed to awareness on cancer prevention under Cancer Education Programs in Pune city and villages around. The aim is to catch children in their formative years to educate them on harmful effects of wrong lifestyles such as tobacco use, drinking etc. The theme is “if they do not start (an imprudent life style), they don’t have to stop”. This effort is to safe guard the next generation from becoming victims of cancer in the wake of ever-increasing environmental pollution hazards. They have been provided with audio–visual education and pamphlets are distributed free of cost to the participants.
