Diwali is a festival of lights traditionally celebrated every year in India with gaiety. Diwali is always With A Purpose at SATSEVA.

Every one celebrates a festival such as Diwali, but Diwali is celebrated with a purpose for the patients of SATSEVA, since it is a common knowledge that most of the patients may not be present for the next Diwali.

As a part of out drive to provide emotional support to the patients under care, our Patron Mr. Shashi Kapoor visits them at home to greet them "Happy Diwali" on this festive occasion. While our professional support in palliative care comforts the patients, the caring visit of a celebrity such as Dr. Shriram Lagoo or our Patron Mr. Shashi Kapoor brings a “sparkle of life” in their eyes.

This annual function of the organization invites families whose patients have passed away. This provides a platform to give vent to the feelings of grief they suffered while taking care of the patients and during the bereavement period, and indicate any imporvements that can be made on our Home Care Programs to fine tune our skills for providing better service.

The function also aims to highlight the inherent desire of most of the patients to spend their last months of life at home amidst their relatives and loved ones. It enocurages more and more families to take care of their patients at home by inspiring them on the values we cherish in our country.

At SATSEVA, "WE PUT LIFE INTO THEIR DAYS AND NOT JUST DAYS INTO THEIR LIFE".
