Mr. Shashi Kapoor’s association with Care India Medical Society began in 1998. He attended the annual function Diwali With A Purpose as a Guest of Honour.

Before attending the function, he visited a few Cancer patients at their homes. His modest expressions of love and tender care won the hearts of the patients and all the staff of Care India Medical Society.

Thereafter he kept a close contact with the activities of the organization and accepted to be a Patron in 1999 to support the cause.

Due to his indisposition, in 2000 he could not attend the annual function and deputed his daughter Sanjana Kapoor to visit the patients on his behalf.

Over the years, he started getting involved more deeply with the activities of the trust and also started attending the screening camps held by the organization to address the senior citizens on the importance of cancer early detection. His involvement became even more intense while appealing to the Captains of the industry for funds.

Whenever he is in Pune, for whatever reason, he makes it a point to visit patients who are under care of SATSEVA, in their homes and always manages to boost their morale.

He takes personal interest in the welfare of the patients and after returning to Mumbai has even been in touch with some of them over the phone.
